FAQ

Does Tamam provide channels or films?

No. Tamam doesn’t provide content; it only plays the lists and accounts you add. Finding a provider is up to you.

Is it free?

Yes. No ads, no subscription, no locked features. One developer writes Tamam. If you like it you can donate.

Which TVs does it run on?

LG TVs with webOS 5 or newer (2020 and later). Samsung and Android TV versions are on the way.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Tamam has no user accounts. Your lists, accounts and watch history stay on your TV.

Is my password safe?

Your sources' passwords are stored encrypted on your TV and are not sent to Tamam’s server.

Why are Movies and Series missing?

The film and series library needs an Xtream account. If you added only an M3U list you get live TV, search and Home, but not Movies and Series.

Where do posters and plots come from?

From TMDB, through Tamam’s own server.

The film has no subtitles.

Search online from the subtitle button in the player; results are grouped by language. If a line is out of sync, pick the line you hear and press OK the moment it’s spoken. You can also show two subtitles, one under the other.

My list won’t open.

The source screen tells you separately whether the server answered and whether the login was accepted. If it says the server can’t be reached, check the address (with its port). If it says the server didn’t accept the user name and password, copy them again from your provider’s message. The account may have expired; verification shows its expiry date.

Is there a lock for children?

Yes. For each genre and channel group you choose show, PIN, or hide. More.

Can I use my phone?

Yes: scan the QR code on the TV. You can add lists, search and use it as a remote. Tamam Cast for Firefox sends the video playing in your browser to Tamam on your TV.

Which languages are there?

Turkish, English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Ukrainian and Chinese. It follows the TV’s language by default.

I found a bug. What do I do?

Report it from Settings on the TV: scan the QR code with your phone, write what happened, and add a screenshot or short video if you like. Or write to support@tamam.tv.

What happens to my data?

The privacy page explains one by one what stays where. In short: your personal information stays on your TV; there are no analytics and no cookies.
